Spend Less and Do More. An LLM Efficiency Challenge

Cynthia’s team Dynamo A and I took 1st place at the Huawei Ireland Tech Arena 2025: “Spend Less and Do More. An LLM Efficiency Challenge.

They designed an efficient LLM inference pipeline for single round question answering, carefully balancing:

• Accuracy across Algebra, History, Geography and Chinese
• End to end latency for real time use
• Cost and scalability so that an AI powered educational platform can run on startup style budgets

The competition brought together students from universities across Ireland, with a multi phase qualification round leading to an onsite hackathon final in Dublin and a first prize of €5,000 and an opportunity for future research collaboration with Huawei.
