Gianpiero Guidone
PhD Researcher
Gianpiero is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Galway, funded by the CRT-AI scholarship, under the supervision of Dr. Ihsan Ullah and Dr. Sharif Faisal. He is a member of the Visual Intelligence Lab. His PhD research focuses on generating coherent medical reports for plaque analysis in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CCT) images using Vision-Language Models.
He graduated from the University of Naples Federico II in 2024 with a Master’s degree in Physics, after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the same university in 2022.
